“So that was why I heard an urgency in her tone of voice, aru.” Yao said to Ivan as they sat in their shared bedroom within Alexei’s house. “Poor girl…”
By now, everyone else was fast asleep, but Ivan had kept Yao awake to explain what ________ told him. They were seated across from each other on their fur pelt beds and only had two candles to provide light in their dark room.
“She also asked if we could pass her word on to the other Allies, but the problem is…” Even though it was highly unlikely that anyone was eavesdropping on them at this hour, Ivan leaned forward

Ivan’s flight was the first to land in (country name) and Yao’s flight landed around fifteen minutes later. The two ran into each other on the way out of the terminal, both of them pulling a suitcase behind them and holding a carry-on bag of some kind. Despite the fight they had just weeks ago at the UN meeting, however, they knew better than to start a commotion at the airport.
“Привет, Yao.”
“Nihao, Ivan.”
Their greetings were tense, but they managed to keep up a decent conversation as they waited for ________ to show up with her car near the ap

When you opened your eyes, you thought you were in heaven at first. Your head was resting on a soft, goose down pillow while the rest of your body was covered by warm blankets made of furs. Judging by how the light flickered against the ceiling and how you could hear the sound of crackling wood, there was a fire burning nearby.
As you continued to stare up at the ceiling, you tried to remember what happened before you awoke in this place. Slowly, it came back to you. It had been awfully cold, as though Jack Frost unleashed all his fury upon you. Then you collapsed in the snow as you felt the last of your strength disappear. But then th

November 1941…* My boss sent me to Russia to stay with Ivan for a few weeks, much to my annoyance as I would have preferred to stay with my people to continue aiding in the fight against the Japanese. Nevertheless, I allowed myself to be taken away to the harsh, cold lands.
We would have stayed at one of the homes Ivan owned in Moscow, but because of the German invasion we wanted to try and keep a low profile. And so, I found myself sitting in the passenger seat of a small military jeep as Ivan drove down a road that led deep into the Russian countryside. For hours I saw nothing but frigid empty fields and

You were so hungry. So tired. Cold. Scared. In fact, it was fear that kept you going despite your hunger and exhaustion.
It was winter right now and you were in some kind of forest. You didn't know where, but you knew for certain it had to be on the mainland. The soiled, torn clothes you were wearing did little to protect you from the bitter cold, and you didn't even have gloves. By now you couldn't feel your fingers anymore and you could've sworn they were turning blue.
After plunging through the heavy snow a few more steps, your body couldn't take it anymore. You fell face first into the snow and made no effort to get up, or even

Yao grabbed one of the small paper cups and placed it under the nozzle of the water dispenser. As he filled his cup, he heard footsteps approaching from behind and he felt another's presence.
"What do you want?" he asked without turning around.
"Did you see _________ go off with those Italians?" Ivan asked.
"Yes, I did." said Yao as he stopped the water flow to his cup, still showing his back to Ivan.
"I did not like the way Feliciano was smiling at her." Ivan frowned, eyes downcast.
Yao finally turned to face him. "_________ deserves to have friends. It would only hurt her if you scared them away, aru."

Another day, another world conference. You smiled at the nations as you passed by each other and many of them greeted you with high spirits.
"_________, bella! Buon giorno!"
"¡Buenos días, _________! You look even more beautiful today than usual!"
"Yo, _________! Good morning! Want to get some McDonalds after the conference?"
You were aware that all those greetings were meant to be flirtatious, but you responded to them politely nonetheless. It was kind of cute when the male nations did it anyway. But, flattered as you were, you had eyes for only two men out of the whole group: Ivan Braginsky and Wang Yao.
